Following the Whistler ski and snowboard festival (WSSF), I stayed in Whistler for a few more days to participate in the Giro shoot. For two days we shot pictures for next year’s ads with Ashley Barker, along with filming a little edit with Trent Ludwig. The Giro riders on hand for the shoot were Justin Dorey, Devin Logan, Mike Riddle, and Mack Jones.
When we got up to the hill the first day, the conditions were extremely cloudy, and we were very skeptical if the conditions were going to get better or not. Thankfully as the day went on, the weather vastly improved as well. By the time evening rolled around we had high spirits and smiles on our faces from getting sled tows to lap the park all afternoon. Once sunset was upon us, we got to session a jump till the light faded away.
The next day was a much more mellow day on the hill. The fog was rolling in very heavily, so we decided to go hike the pipe a little and get some handplant pics. After hiking for a bit, Mack and I went to go do some fun knuckle tricks for a bit. The final feature of the day for us was just one of the rails in the park. After hiking for a little and landing our tricks it was a wrap for the on snow portion of the shoot.
The next day we just took photos around the hotel and in the village. Very interesting to see what happens with product shoots, and all the hard work that goes on behind the scenes. After taking a few photos throughout the day, it was a wrap for the entire shoot.
This entire shoot was such a fun addition to my trip to Whistler. Very thankful to my team manager Todd for inviting me to join. Definitely looking forward to the next time I get to ski and hangout with everyone.
Till next time,
