Day 120 - Urban in China

Back in the park for most of today, and with temperatures starting to drop even more for the competition, we were all thankful that it was only a half-day. In the afternoon I wasn’t too sure about what I should do. I wanted to originally go back out and take some photos of the pipe practice, but with how bad it was I somehow lost motivation. When we had come back from the slopes I saw that Silvia and her boyfriend had set up a little urban hit outside the hotel.

After lunch, I got a text from her with a photo of the setup and decided to go check that out. It’s been a long time since I’ve been at an urban session. I’m still used to setting up a feature, then 10 - 20 minutes later having someone come out to say that you can’t hit it & need to leave. Here I was expecting the same, but in fact, the opposite happened & a couple of people were taking photos and admiring the setup. It almost reminded me of when I went to the castle with Asen and as soon as he put on his Qi, people flocked to see him.

This evening I went out to meet up with Riddle and catch up. Turned out to have a fun time with a group of guys telling some good stories. As the evening was winding down, Brad and I went to pay. In a chance encounter, we randomly met this guy & girl from Singapore. We randomly struck up a conversation and had an awesome evening talking, drinking wine, and hear some great stories about their lives.
