Day 128 - Last Evening at the Garden

It was another bone-chilling day, and It made me so happy to think I’m leaving tomorrow. Anything to get me away from this weather would be amazing. I can’t believe how miserably cold it gets here. This morning, as we tried to continue riding, we realized that every single kid was freezing. We ended up going to warm up in the hut for a while and had a fun time talking to the kids about understanding grabs and amplitude. With the temperatures only getting worse with the wind, we decided to take a half-day.

Since I had the afternoon free now, I started to pack for my flight tomorrow and got most of everything sorted with the exception of a few items. While I was packing I was listening more to the audiobook Talking to Strangers. I really enjoyed listening to it this past week & happy I was able to finish the year on a good note. I also listened to another episode on the Next Big Idea Podcast and how they talk about the Future and the goals our society will have by 2050. Along with packing, I decided to bring out the flash some more and finally use some of the modifiers I purchased. So far I’ve only had the opportunity to try it once and had yet to see how it would affect portraits. Pretty cool being able to control the light even more & I plan on using these much more often. After packing and hanging out, I decided to get some sushi. I had a nice time to myself and relaxing as I realized more that this might be the last time I’m here. Talking in the scenes all in and enjoying what I can out of the experience. That sushi really was delicious.
