Day 130 - Off to Vienna

I woke up 35,000 feet over Russia this morning, my Red Eye from Beijing to Vienna took off at 3:00am & we were about half way towards our destination. I was able to sleep for almost 5 hours and was trying my best to fall back asleep, but being unable to for the rest of the flight. We touched down in Vienna a quarter till 6:00am, and with an empty flight, I was off the plane quickly. My luggage also arrived quickly & by 6:30am I was already on my bus headed towards Vienna West Bahnhof. I honestly don’t think I’ve ever had a better arrival experience for an international flight.

As I arrived at the hotel & with it being way too early for check in, they allowed me to put my luggage in a side room till check it was available this afternoon. After setting things aside, I still had about 40 minutes left till Sabine arrived. I ended up downloading another episode of the Trailblazers podcast and listened to that as I walked around the area for more photos. After strolling around taking photos of the Underground trains & a church with a massive poster of Anna Gasser on it for sunrise, I went to the underground to wait for Sabine to arrive. This afternoon we decided to check out the World Museum. Time flew by so quickly as we both were submerged in learning & exploring a bit more of the Museum Quarter area for the rest of the day.
